Coaches Certification & Education
The Coaches Certification & Education Program is the entry-level course for HUYA FC coaches, designed to introduce fundamental coaching principles and best practices. It focuses on creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment while developing essential coaching skills. The program emphasises age-appropriate activities, player-centred coaching, and building a positive learning atmosphere. Coaches will gain an understanding of session structure, effective communication, and how to foster player development in alignment with HUYA FC’s coaching philosophy.






Soccer in the Community
The “SOCCER IN THE COMMUNITY” campaign targets and inspires young players to play football and stay in the game for life. The first, and most important, objective of “SOCCER IN THE COMMUNITY” is to encourage young players to participate in football. We want to ensure that every child who wants to play the game has the opportunity to do so.

The Unama’ki, Indigenous soccer communities initiative, is a plan designed to create a long lasting association between Soccer Cape Breton and the Indigenous communities of Cape Breton.

Academy Challenge Tour (A.C.T) - Small-sided tournaments for teams participating in the Excel program throughout the province.
Spring Kick-Off - Is hosted at the end of April and is a great tournament for your teams to prepare for Division 1 and Premier Competitions.
Education & Development
I’ve built a broad foundation in coaching, player development, and football management through a mix of practical experience and formal education. I hold a Sports (Football) Management degree from the Johan Cruyff Institute, a CSA B-License (Level 3), and a UEFA C Licence through the English FA. I’m also certified in talent ID, scouting (S4 Scouting Levels 1–3), and soccer management and scouting (SMWW).
As a Coach Developer and Master Coach Evaluator with the NCCP (Canada), I’ve delivered training for coaches and learning facilitators, with a strong focus on mentoring, evaluation, and effective learning environments. I’ve also completed numerous safeguarding certifications and hold an Enhanced DBS, along with Designated Safeguarding Lead training for both children and adults
I regularly upskill through platforms like Hudl and Wyscout, and my qualifications are backed by additional training in project management (Prince2 Foundation) and talent ID (LMA). I’m fully licensed to drive in the UK across multiple vehicle categories with a clean record.
